Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival returns from 10 to 20 October 2024 with another enthralling literary lineup. The Festival will once again celebrate great writing and leading thinkers, sharing their stories and featuring a programme designed to entertain, inspire, educate, challenge and amuse
This year’s guests include former prime minister Theresa May, celebrated author Victoria Hislop, writer and comedian Adam Kay, historian Alison Weir, acclaimed broadcaster Dame Joan Bakewell and journalist Ros Atkins. Other exciting names joining the lineup include Doon Mackichan, William Hanson, Tom Surgey and from the sporting world Monty Panesar and Peter Reid. The packed programme also includes from baker Janusz Domagala, Kat Brown and Douglas Beattie. Returning to the Festival is Julian Norton, best known for hit TV series The Yorkshire Vet.
The bestselling novelist and successful entrepreneur Ajay Chowdhury is this year’s special guest at the Raworths Literary Lunch on Thursday 17 October. He will be discussing his own remarkable journey and the future of technology.
The Children’s Festival, which was introduced last year, returns as part of this year’s literature festival over the weekend of 19 and 20 October. We are delighted to welcome award-winning children’s author and illustrator Rob Biddulph, who proved to be a big hit at last year’s Festival and also GP and author Dr Amir Khan as well as author and illustrator Liam Callaghan.
