We are dedicated to corporate social responsibility, focused on giving back to our local community of Harrogate.
We are ambassadors within our community and our staff are active in supporting local initiatives and charities including a Harrogate-based charity, nominated by our people. Our fundraising includes participating in community events and activities throughout the year.
We also recognise the need to look at our environmental footprint with the aim of finding ways to minimise our impact on the local community. By reducing our impact on the environment we encourage and support sustainability. We have recently introduced our Sustainability and Carbon Reduction plan at Raworths which aims to achieve a positive impact on the environment, our people and business.
We are enthusiastic and care about what we do.
Our Charity of the Year is Harrogate District Foodbank which provides emergency food and support to those most in need across the district. Harrogate District Foodbank is funded by local churches, community groups and individuals, operating under the umbrella of national organisation, The Trussell Trust.
More about our charity partnership with Harrogate District Foodbank can be found here.

Previous local community Charity of the Year partners have included, most recently Vision Support Harrogate District and Harrogate Homeless Project.
This pageant of decorated beds, passengers and runners, combined with a gruelling course of 2.4 miles, is organised by volunteers from the Knaresborough Lions to raise funds to meet local charitable and community needs. A team from Raworths has competed many times, most recently in June 2024, and the event brings together colleagues to design, create and compete in the race.
Dementia Friends is organised by the Alzheimer’s Society. A Dementia Friend learns about what it is like to live with dementia and turns that understanding into action. A dementia friendly action could be as simple as never again using the terms ‘dementia sufferer’ but instead using ‘person living with dementia’, getting involved with Dementia Research or visiting someone who is living with dementia.
Katie Watts, one of our Solicitors and an Alzheimer’s Society Ambassador, is regularly involved in running Dementia Friends Information Sessions for colleagues at Raworths. Those who have attended become Dementia Friends and increase their awareness of dementia.

We have been a member of Saint Michael’s Business 500 Club for many years. It is a community of businesses helping families living with terminal illness and bereavement now and in the future.
By being a member of the Business 500 Club, we are supporting St Michael’s Hospice strategy of service improvement and expansion that aims to offer more care to more people.
